This summer, the children and staff at Centre 24/7 had a wonderful opportunity to plant a garden and build relationships with our neighbors at the same time. Our neighbors at Knight’s Villa graciously donated space in their garden giving the children the chance to plant seeds, water, weed, and harvest the vegetables that they planted. Our new gardening friends were there the entire summer to help maintain the garden and provide us with experiences to learn and understand the process. One of our favorite visits was when we had a chance to pull potatoes, wash them, see how they are cut into French fries and potato chips, and then having the chance to taste the final product. We appreciate the learning opportunities that the garden provided for us but most of all we value the friendships that grew this summer and that we will maintain throughout the year.

MACCPF is an inclusive program. We make resources available to promote the success of children with varied abilities. Individual programs are developed for children through the collaboration of the Inclusion Coordinator and support specialists and implemented by ECE's.
Centre 24/7 houses a Snoezelen Room. This room is specially designed to deliver stimuli to various senses, using lighting effects, color, sounds, music, scents, etc. The combination of different materials on a wall may be explored using tactile senses, and the floor may be adjusted to stimulate the sense of balance.
